Rande Hawkinson serves as the President and Chief Operations Officer for CalTex. Rande joined CalTex in 2005 where his leadership role in the company, prior to becoming President, included manufacturing, research and development, IT, and Claims Customer Service. He has over 30 years of management and manufacturing experience. Prior to joining CalTex, Rande’s experience includes 27 years with Arlon Adhesives and Films in various management positions.
Mr. Hawkinson graduated from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California, with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Organizational Leadership. He resides near San Antonio, Texas with his wife and their three children.
Tim Akard serves as the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer & EVP for CalTex. Tim joined CalTex in 2012. A 35-year veteran of the automotive industry, Tim is a former Texas Ford dealer who served on Ford’s National Dealer Council and as a Director of the Ford Dealer Advertising Fund and the Ford Southwest Marketing Committee. Tim served multiple terms as a Director of the Texas Auto Dealers Association and managed the TADA Self Insurance Group, a self-funded worker’s compensation group owned by Texas dealers. He began his automotive career with Ford Motor Credit and has extensive experience in the design and administration of self-insured and reinsured products and services for franchised automotive dealerships.
Tim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Texas A&M, Corpus Christi. Tim and his wife live in New Braunfels, Texas. They have two children and three grandchildren.
Matt Ramsey serves as the Chief Financial Officer for CalTex. Since joining the company in 2002, he has served with the Finance team as a Senior Accountant,Assistant Controller and Controller. Prior to joining CalTex, Matt was part of the Finance organization with the Magazines Division of The Hearst Corporation in Charlotte, NC.
Mr. Ramsey obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is also a Certified Public Accountant. He resides in San Antonio with his wife and four children.
Kerri Walker Lewis serves as the Vice President of Business Development for CalTex. She is responsible for developing and executing strategic programs to drive profitable growth, new product development and compliance. She is also responsible for sales training and reporting, building brand recognition and managing new and existing partner relationships.
Kerri started her career in retail automotive after earning a Bachelor Degree in Business and Political Science from Stephen F. Austin State University. She now has over 25 years of experience in sales team leadership, marketing and F&I product development. Prior to joining CalTex in 2015, Kerri served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Dent Zone Companies, Inc. where she developed and managed relationships with large consolidators, third party administrators and OEMs. Mrs. Lewis and her husband reside in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
John Lapp serves as the Vice President of Business Operations for CalTex. John joined CalTex in 2012 as the Director of Customer Experience and his most recent role was Senior Director of Business Operations and Analytics. Prior to joining CalTex, John had broad range of experience in operations most recently with Kinetic Concepts and Kraft Foods corporations.
Mr. Lapp earned a Bachelor degree in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Loyola University of Chicago. He and his wife reside in San Antonio and have two grown children.
